A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

I can’t believe I’m willfully publishing these pictures. I’ve taken every opportunity I could to avoid being in front of the camera. In fact, when I started this site and wanted some “before” pictures, they were hard to find.  But you know how it is, someone always gets you at Christmas. This picture is from 2008. My chin/neck area only looks like that because I’m looking down….right?

Or maybe not…it’s 2009 now and I’m not looking down but I still can’t see my neck. I’m still not eating low carb either. I wonder if there is a connection.

In 2010 my husband had a health scare that finally motivated me to start cooking low carb for both of us. We changed our way of eating on September 1st of that year, so this is the result of about 4 months. I see some signs of progress here.

This picture is from 2011 after over a year of eating low carb and losing 87 pounds. I almost didn’t recognize myself. My face no longer slides right into my chest. My skin looks better too. I am amazed at how I look and feel.

I am not at my goal weight yet, but I know I will be soon.
I’ll keep you posted!
